Didn't work, sadly :-(
Even the guys at the tyre place took 20 mins to get it reinflated, so I don't feel too incompetent.

I'll try it. Do remember this vaguely with bicycle tyres (it's been a VERY long time) but I suspect this bigger one will be trickier to fix. Still, here's hoping...
Thanks for all suggestions!

BTW: I can't believe you never had bikes, guys! I have been doing that with my tyres, whether bike or barrow, since I was 6!

You can use large (the larger the better) flat screwdrivers, if you do not want to ruin your spoons :-)

Three is the magic number, this way you can use one to force the tyre in and two to keep in place what you already got in.

Good luck!

What... stick it under the rim and run it round the edge? Or do you need more than one spoon?

Mine barrow/trolley has a snapped valve stem, and so can't be re-inflated. It's maddening as you don't seem to be able to buy replacement wheels anywhere, just whole new barrows.

If you should find a secret Barrow Baron with spare wheels of various sizes. let me know!
