I'm not that excited about them but they seem to be the most important component of home gardening in the States, and the sole reason some people start veggie growing. I wonder if this bug will hit here? Oh well, as long as we have international commerce these things will happen. Makes a strong case for preserving the diversity in our crop species though doesn't it? Just think, out there might be the perfect tomato for the UK (though it sounds as though it is not in use there currently).
